چکیده
To the Editor: Knowledge has evolved and the use of staplers in gastrointestinal surgery is now widespread. They are associated with low rates of postoperative complications. Postoperative anastomotic complications with stapling devices are relatively rare, with a reported incidence between 0 and 2.5%.1 How to cite this article: Krishnan A, Velayutham V, Satyanesan J. This study was conducted to evaluate the mid-term results of cervical esophagogastric anastomosis using a side-to-side stapled anastomosis method for treatment of patients with malignant esophageal disease. A total of 13 patients were reviewed retrospectively from January 2001 to November 2005 who underwent total esophagectomy through a right thoracotomy, gastric tube formation through a midlin...

Juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma (JNA) is a rare, benign and locally invasive tumor. Massive bleeding because of vascularity of tumor and postoperative recurrence are potential problems of management. Endonasal approach reduces the rate of postoperative recurrence, intraoperative bleeding, and complications of surgery, time of operation and duration of hospitalization. In this article, we r...

BACKGROUND In this work, we have described our experience with repair of bowel discontinuity by applying stapled anastomosis. The aim of this study was to compare two basic intestinal anastomotic techniques and to establish the feasibility of the stapled connection of bowel in neonates and infants. METHODS Between August 2009 and December 2011, we have performed 23 cases of hand-sewn anastomo...
